Plein Air Painters of New Mexico (PAPNM) sponsored the 5th Annual Paintout, Exhibition and Sale in the Taos area. PAPNM is an organization of New Mexico artists dedicated to preserving and promoting the tradition of painting en plein air - or outdoors.  The "High on Taos" event, involved 50 member-participants representing communities throughout New Mexico.  The successful event culminated with a closing reception hosted by Wilder Nightingale Fine Art, Taos, featuring noted New Mexico landscape artist, accepting the responsibility of selecting the "Best of Show" from among 100 entries.  The "Best of Show" was an original oil titled "Morning Light", by Ruth.
